Raymond Elementary School

GES is providing MEP & FP engineering and security, AV and IT services for the renovation and addition of an existing historic elementary school. The fully modernized 85,000 sf school will address capacity issues, add a gymnasium, and utilize the protected courtyard for outdoor play and learning on an extremely tight urban site. The school is being designed to Net-Zero and WELL certification, and it will be one of the first k-12 schools to achieve such a rating while maintaining the 1923 and 1928 historic buildings. Maury Elementary School Modernization

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) provided MEP & FP engineering services for the renovation and addition to the Maury Elementary School. The original building was built in 1886 with an addition and ground-level causeway constructed in 1961. The project includes a new addition to house a new kitchen and servery as well as additional classroom space, and an upgrade of the HVAC system in the 1960’s addition. Kramer Middle School

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for the renovation of the 154,000 sf middle school to transform the school into a 21st  century high performance educational facility. Capitol View Library

GES provided MEP & FP engineering for the renovation of Capitol View Library. To achieve LEED Gold certification the mechanical and electrical systems were completely upgraded. The new mechanical system has a new chiller, cooling tower, condensing boilers, pumps, unit heaters, exhaust fans and automated building control system. The electrical system was replaced with a new 1200A, 120/208V, 3 phase, 4 wire system including new distribution panels and equipment. Baltimore City Public School buildings were facing a $2.4 billion deficit, with 85% of public schools in poor condition.  John Eager Howard Elementary School (JEH) alone was assessed at needing $14-16 M in renovation and repair costs.
