GES is providing MEP & FP engineering and security, AV and IT services for the renovation and addition of an existing historic elementary school. The fully modernized 85,000 sf school will address capacity issues, add a gymnasium, and utilize the protected courtyard for outdoor play and learning on an extremely tight urban site. Maury Elementary School Modernization

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) provided MEP & FP engineering services for the renovation and addition to the Maury Elementary School. The original building was built in 1886 with an addition and ground-level causeway constructed in 1961. The project includes a new addition to house a new kitchen and servery as well as additional classroom space, and an upgrade of the HVAC system in the 1960’s addition. Capitol View Library

GES provided MEP & FP engineering for the renovation of Capitol View Library. To achieve LEED Gold certification the mechanical and electrical systems were completely upgraded. The new mechanical system has a new chiller, cooling tower, condensing boilers, pumps, unit heaters, exhaust fans and automated building control system. Baltimore City Public School buildings were facing a $2.4 billion deficit, with 85% of public schools in poor condition.  John Eager Howard Elementary School (JEH) alone was assessed at needing $14-16 M in renovation and repair costs.
