Planning and DD1391 Development Air Force 59th Dental Group, Dunn Dental Clinic

GES provided project management, as well as MEP & FP engineering services, for the development of planning documentation for a new dental clinic at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland, TX. The project goal was to develop a modern dental treatment facility capable of delivering all required general dental care for the JBSA, including dental hygiene. In addition the facility would resolve graduate dental training program space constraints.

The project included a site investigation of existing conditions, collection and evaluation of facility requirements, analysis of data, estimation of project scope and cost, and entry of this information into the Project Administration and Execution (PAX) DD1391 Generator. This programming and facility evaluation project develops the information from stakeholders and facility assessment, establishing design criteria to inform the desired end-state for an appropriately sized dental treatment facility. The existing building evaluation addresses whether to demolish the building or renovate it for another use.
