1812 Ashland Avenue Laboratory and Innovation Center

As part of its efforts to revitalize East Baltimore, Forest City-New East Baltimore Partnership is building 1812 Ashland, a seven-level, $75 Million, 170,000 sf, laboratory and office building designed to be an innovation hub for the social sciences. 1812 Ashland will be a flagship for efforts to attract life sciences companies and other entrepreneurial firms whose principals want to be located in the Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins. GES is providing the mechanical, electrical, fire alarm and security systems engineering design services for the new building. The building has been designed to accommodate long-term and short-term tenants, and tenants that need lab space, offices, or a combination. Features include wet and dry labs, meeting and conference rooms that can be shared, three elevators, and a full loading dock.
